Liverpool are in the lead to land Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne’s signature after the player has fallen out with the club.
After being substituted in their defeat against Arsenal last week in the Europa League, the Italian has expressed his frustration at the manager’s decision, according to the Mirror.
Insigne was booed by his own fans as he left the pitch during a 2-0 loss against the North London side, after failing to produce in front of goal and help Napoli into the semi-finals.

His relationship with manager Carlo Ancelotti is now in turmoil, which has unsurprisingly unsettled the player.
Liverpool are the club taking advantage of this, and should Klopp want to bring the player to Anfield, he would need to pay Napoli’s asking price of around £60 million.
With Klopp looking to add to his already on-fire front three, Insigne would only bolster their squad and keep the team challenging for the title in seasons to come.
The 27-year-old has been a big part of Napoli, playing for them since the age of 15. He has amassed 76 goals in 302 appearances for the Serie A side.

The Reds will have to compete with Premier League rivals Chelsea, should their transfer ban be appealed successfully. French elites Paris St Germain and German club Bayern Munich are also after the Italian forward. Serie A rivals Inter Milan are also chasing the striker.
The Mirror also reports that Inter Milan could throw Mauro Icardi in the deal, with the Argentine looking for a move away from the San Siro.
