Liverpool have submitted an official bid to Borussia Monchengladbach for Thorgan Hazard, according to Belgian outlet DH.
The Reds have seemingly thrown a spanner in the works as Hazard had already given his word to Borussia Dortmund, telling them that he’d join them in the summer as they look to replace Christain Pulisic, who will move to Chelsea.
However, Monchengladbach seemingly want to sell the Belgian international to the Reds for two reasons.

Firstly, Liverpool have reportedly outbid Dortmund, so it would be better financially for Gladbach if the 26-year-old moved to Anfield, whilst it would also benefit them in a sporting sense too as he’d be leaving Germany and as such, he won’t be strengthening a league rival.
Hazard himself reportedly prefers a move to Dortmund over Liverpool as he thinks he’s more likely to play more regular first-team football at BVB, such is the quality of Liverpool’s current attacking players.
Hazard, the younger brother of Chelsea star Eden, is out of contract with Monchengladbach at the end of the 2019/20 season, so he could simply refuse to join Liverpool in a bid to force Gladbach’s hand into letting him join Dortmund, although it’s still unclear as to how this situation will all play out.
