Liverpool were one of a number of top European clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG that were reportedly interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borrusia Dortmund but the 28-year-old stayed put despite his desire to leave.
With Dortmund struggling this season, winning just one of their last 10 games in all competitions, Aubameyang is hoping to force his way out when the January transfer window while he remains at the peak of his powers, say Bild.

Aubameyang finished as the Bundesliga top scorer last season with 31 goals and he already has 11 in 12 games so far in the current campaign which ranks alongside some of Europe’s elite forwards.
With talk that Daniel Sturridge could leave in January for regular first-team football beginning to do the rounds, Liverpool could be tempted to revive their interest in the Gabon international who has worked closely with Jurgen Klopp during their time together at Dortmund.
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG could all also echo those sentiments, but as of now, Aubameyang, who is valued at €60m (£54m), remains on Liverpool’s radar.
