Lyon teenager Houssem Aouar is apparently catching the attention of fans, pundits and scouts and, according to a report from Goal, Liverpool and Barcelona are set to battle it out this summer as both want to sign him.
The 19-year-old, who scored against Everton in the group stages of the Europa League earlier this season, was a target for the Reds a fews ago, but he opted to sign professional papers with Lyon.

The French U21 international has broken through Lyon’s your set up and into the first team this season. He’s made 32 appearances already this campaign, scoring eight goals and registering three assists.
Aouar has often played in a central midfield role this season, although he can also play on left hand side, so he could be seen as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who could also play in those two positions.
The teenager is under contract at Lyon until 2020 and with the French side in no hurry to sell, he could cost Liverpool a sizeable fee if they choose to make a move for him.
