Liverpool are likely to face RB Leipzig in Budapest again next Wednesday (March 10th), in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.
That’s according to the Times‘ Paul Joyce, who states that the game will take place at the Puskas Arena once again, unless there is a ‘late change of heart from the German authorities’.
The Reds won the first leg 2-0 last month, thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
They were the away team in that match, putting them in pole position to reach the quarter-finals.

Not being able to play the fixture at Anfield would undoubtedly be a blow for Liverpool, but having no fans inside the stadium clearly makes it less of an issue.
Leipzig suffered the misfortune of not playing at home in the first leg, so it could be argued that the same thing happening to the Reds makes for a fairer tie.
Jurgen Klopp’s men just have to be ruthless in getting the job done, not allowing their opponents a way back into the contest.
An early away goal for Leipzig could cause panic for Liverpool, but they need to use their experience gained from winning the Champions League in 2019 and avoid what would be a heartbreaking exit.
