Liverpool have been dealt a possible blow in their attempts to sign Kylian Mbappe, with Paris Saint-Germain increasingly confident of keeping hold of him.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who claim that Neymar’s signing of a new deal could convince the striker to also remain with the Ligue 1 champions. Mbappe’s current deal expires at the end of next season, so he will likely either sign a new deal contract this summer or leave for pastures new.
Liverpool and Real Madrid have been most strongly linked with the 22-year-old, but it now looks as though both could miss out on him.

Should Mbappe extend his stay at PSG, it will act as an undoubted blow to Liverpool. The £162-million-rated France superstar has scored 106 goals and registered 59 assists in 148 matches for the French giants, outlining his reputation as one of the best attacking players on the planet.
It may prompt Liverpool to turn their attention elsewhere, should their interest in Mbappe be genuine, with Erling Haaland arguably the other most exciting alternative.
The Borussia Dortmund striker has been tipped to join the Reds, which offers potential encouragement.
