Liverpool have already signed Victor Munoz but are expected to add an attacker or two to their squad this summer.
According to Anfield Watch, Fulham attacker Kevin is on their radar as they continue to track his development.
The Reds have already lost Mohamed Salah and Federico Chiesa could follow him out of the door at Anfield, while Hugo Ekitike is no closer to returning from his Achilles injury.
Iraola has a lot of work to do in the market, especially in attack. And reports in England suggest the Reds are watching Kevin closely as he continues to get to grips with English football.
Liverpool scouting Fulham’s Kevin
Kevin joined Fulham for a club-record fee believed to be in the region of €40m.
Since then, he hasn’t really set the world alight as he continues to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.
However, that hasn’t stopped Liverpool from keeping a watchful eye on him.
The report states that the Reds’ chief scout, Barry Hunter, watched a Fulham game last season just to scout Kevin, who recorded two assists and a goal for the Cottagers.
It is important to mention that Anfield Watch’s reporting seemingly suggests this is one for the future as opposed to being an immediate transfer, as Kevin hasn’t yet adapted to life in England.
Kevin very much a work in progress
The Brazilian has only shown flashes of his potential since his headline-grabbing move from Shakhtar Donetsk. However, he is a one-v-one specialist and that is a characteristic Liverpool greatly admire.
Last season, then-Fulham boss Marco Silva continued to support Kevin, who blew hot and cold for the club.
He said, via The Independent, “He’s very talented, he has something different in terms of profile. He needs time to understand his teammates and understand the kind of football he’s going to play.
Football is different here to in other countries. He knows he has strong competition in the wide areas of the pitch. The more minutes he has, the more he is going to adapt.”
Judging by Silva’s comments, the youngster isn’t ready to walk straight into the starting XI for Fulham, let alone for Liverpool.
However, development is never linear and Kevin could well explode next season. Liverpool’s interest is seemingly real, but the Brazilian isn’t a player they will be making a move for this summer.
The Reds are interested in a move for Bradley Barcola, who has been in fine form in recent seasons for PSG.
With Yan Diomande headed to the French capital, it remains to be seen if Luis Enrique decide to part with Barcola, which would be a big boost for Liverpool.
