A number of Liverpool fans have been reacting to the news that the Reds will have to pay Fulham up to £4.3million for the services of Harvey Elliott, following the decision of a tribunal.
The young forward completed a move to Anfield from Craven Cottage back in 2019, arriving at the age of just 16.
Elliott managed nine appearances in his first season at Liverpool, having supported them as a child.
Jurgen Klopp felt a loan move away in 2020/21 would benefit his development, however, so the teenager sealed a switch to Blackburn Rovers in October.
Elliott has shone at Ewood Park to date, scoring four goals and registering eights assists, catching the eye with his natural ability.
On Wednesday night, it was confirmed by the Times‘ Paul Joyce on Twitter that Liverpool will have to Fulham £1.2million initially, then £500,000 when the attacker signs two professional contracts.
Further payments will then be based on first-team appearances, taking the total fee up to a potential £4.3million, while the Cottagers will also have a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Liverpool have been ordered to pay £1.2m initially to Fulham for Harvey Elliott by the Professional Football Compensation Committee. Plus £500,000 when he signs two professional contracts. First team appearances could take it to a max of £4.3million. Fulham have a 20pc sell-on.

Liverpool did well there. They could sell him now for at least 25 million in my opinion https://t.co/SzrQstQb0Y
