Liverpool youngster Tyler Morton has signed a new long-term deal, the club announced on Thursday.
The 18-year-old is a highly thought of member of the Reds’ academy, having been there since in the age of just seven.
Morton, who cites Thiago as a hero of his, has played for Liverpool’s Under-18s, scoring four goals and registering six assists for them in 17 appearances, before breaking into the Under-23s setup.
He scored for the latter on Monday, as the young Reds drew 1-1 away to Everton U23s, making it three goals in five games for them.

Jurgen Klopp has been a keen advocate of youth ever since becoming Liverpool manager, turning the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones into key members of his squad.
If youngsters are good enough, the German will give them an opportunity to shine, and Morton will know that.
He also has his idol Thiago to work closely alongside at Liverpool’s new training ground, with first team and academy stars all playing there every day.
Morton claims it’s “hard to take your eyes off” the Spaniard, which bodes well in his development.
