Having been linked with both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kylian Mbappe in recent weeks, Liverpool are set to miss out on both strikers.

Mbappe is a forward who Liverpool were actually interested in signing this summer, as per Chris Bascombe of the Telegraph.
But James Pearce of the Echo says the Reds won’t be signing the Frenchman, and that instead the 18-year-old is likely to either stay with French champions Monaco or complete a dream move to Real Madrid.
As a result, it appears unlikely that Jurgen Klopp will add a centre-forward to his squad before the end of August.
