Some of Liverpool’s players were back at Melwood on Friday, having returned from their winter break.
Jurgen Klopp and his senior stars were not present for the Reds’ memorable 1-0 victory at home to Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday evening, instead choosing to use their break effectively and enjoy some downtime.
There is still over a week before Liverpool’s next game, away to Norwich City on February 15th, but preparations are already underway for the game.
Players have been getting back to business at Melwood, with Dejan Lovren and Sadio Mane seemingly in good spirits, judging by social media.
The pair both posted on Instagram on Friday, poking fun at Mohamed Salah and themselves in the process.
Lovren, who has a close friendship with Salah, corrected himself when suggesting he was sat next to the Egyptian, when it was fact Mane.

The Senegalese then joked that he was sat alongside ‘@mosalah friend’, rather than simply referring to Lovren, acting as a dig at the centre-back and perhaps Salah too.

It further sums up the team spirit that exists at Liverpool these days.
