Dejan Lovren is set to hold showdown talks with Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season, according to Football Insider.
The 30-year-old has struggled for playing time in 2019/20, making just nine starts in the Premier League.
The Croatia international has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham in recent days.
This latest update states that Liverpool retain an interest in Brighton defender Ben White, who is currently on loan at Leeds, could be viewed as a replacement for Lovren.

Lovren has had six up-and-down seasons in a Liverpool, and I think his Reds career has reached its natural conclusion.
Any player who appears in Champions League and World Cup finals is likely not to be a bad footballer, but equally, the Croatian is no longer good enough for Klopp’s European Cup-winning team, as his recent showing away at Watford perfectly summed up.
Not only is Lovren finding it tough to stay fit, his performances are not as consistent as the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, all of whom are rightly ahead of him in the centre-back pecking order.
Van Dijk’s brilliance speaks for itself, while Gomez and Matip have both enjoyed superb periods in the last 12 months. The former has been magnificent alongside Van Dijk this season, while the latter was as good as anyone in last season’s Champions League final.
Liverpool, in my opinion, should be looking at younger options who can learn from those mentioned, rather than keeping hold of someone who keeps making the same mistakes.
As Lovren approaches 31, now is the time for the Reds to cash in, earning a half-decent fee for a player who I believe is steadily on the decline.
