Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez has addressed the recent transfer links to Liverpool, denying the possibility of a move.
The Uruguayan has had a solid season with the La Liga club, finding the back of the net 13 times in 33 league games, and picking up five assists.
According to Marca, as cited on TEAMtalk, Gomez is one of a few targets for Jurgen Klopp this summer, with the German looking to bolster his squad.
After a demanding 2018/19 campaign strikers Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi could both leave this summer, leaving the Reds in need of some reinforcements.
However, Gomez has expressed his feelings towards the move to Anfield and has pretty much put the idea to bed. Amid interest from La Liga giants Barcelona, as well as Liverpool, Gomez spoke with Spanish outlet to give his view on his future.
There are many comments through social networks, what if I sign for Barcelona, if I go to Liverpool.
I am very calm and in Vigo I feel very comfortable.
The 22-year-old is valued by his club at €50 million, and if Klopp is looking to strengthen the team he may need to look elsewhere.

With one of the best attacking trios in football, it would be difficult to see where Maxi Gomez would fit in; however with a tiring season for Liverpool, competing for the Premier League title and making it to the last stages of the Champions League, their squad depth for the 2019/20 campaign is something that needs to be addressed.
The Reds have one remaining game this season to attempt to clinch the title from Manchester City; Liverpool must win, but if their title-chasing rivals do the same, Jurgen Klopp and his men will be forced to wait for some silverware.
