Liverpool and Belgium goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has said he will not be focusing on any move until after the Champions League final.
Loris Karius has been the number one keeper for Liverpool since January and has set doubts over the future of Mignolet at Anfield.
Mignolet wants to keep the feeling of togetherness in the squad before the most important game in years.
As quoted by the Mail Online, he had this to say about his future:
That’s not really something I am thinking of. I have three years of a contract. There will be a lot of speculation about my name because I am not playing but I am not really thinking about it.
Because you have such a good dressing room everyone feels together and there is a real togetherness in the squad which helps a lot.
Mignolet played 22 games for the Reds this year but has only played in the qualification games of the Champions League so far.
When the game has been played, it’s likely he will be leaving the club after five years to try and find some first-team football action once again. Liverpool have been linked with various moves for goalkeepers in recent months but whether they decide to replace Mignolet remains to be seen.
