Liverpool defender Tony Gallacher could be heading to America as a few clubs from Major League Soccer have shown an interest in signing him on loan, as per a report from the Echo.
Gallacher moved to Liverpool from Falkirk back in 2018 for a fee of around £200,000, having broken into the first-team of the Scottish club at the age of 16.
He’s been part of Liverpool’s academy set up ever since and despite only recently turning 21, he’s been a regular for the club’s U23 side.
The youngster has played one official first-team game for the Reds, but that came as part of a very, very young Liverpool team that lost to Aston Villa in the League Cup whilst the club’s first-team stars were all in Qatar competing in the Club World Cup.

It remains to be seen which, if any, MLS clubs make a move for Gallacher but a trip to play in the top division of American football could be a good opportunity for him.
Given the state of the world at the moment, and America in particular, then there will obviously need to be a lot of thought given to any destinations but from the point of view of the player’s development, a move to the MLS could be very beneficial for Gallacher.
