Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has won Premier League Player of the Month award for March, meaning he is the first Premier League player to ever win three Player of the Month awards in the same season.
The Egyptian, who also picked up the award in November and February, scored six goals in four games in March.
Four of those goals came in one game as Liverpool destroyed Watford at Anfield. The others were the 40th minute strike to open the scoring during Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Newcastle and the late winner to snatch a vital three points against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Salah’s back-to-back wins means he becomes the sixth player in Premier League history to win the Player of the Month in consecutive months. Robbie Fowler, Dennis Bergkamp, Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy are the five other players to win back-to-back awards.
Salah’s 29 league goals mean that he has equalled Didier Drogba’s record for the number Premier League season by an African player, and he is only three goals away from scoring more goals in a 38 game Premier League season than any player has ever scored.
In fact, he needs just six more goals to score more goals in a single season than any player in Premier League history, even those who played in 42 game seasons.
