Atletico Madrid have reportedly seen a €50 million bid rejected by Napoli for Liverpool target Lorenzo Insigne.
According to a report from Il Mattino, as cited by Calciomercato, the Serie A giants showed no hesitation in turning down the opening offer from Diego Simeone’s side, with the Italian’s future at Stadio San Paolo uncertain.
Liverpool have long been linked with a swoop for Insigne. Reports indicated that the Reds had made an enquiry over a possible deal for the player during the January transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp is also understood to be an admirer of the wide attacker, who has been a key part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans at Napoli during his maiden campaign in charge.
The 27-year-old has found the back of the net on nine occasions in Serie A this season and has also contributed with six assists.
Liverpool are not the only Premier League side linked with a summer swoop for Insigne. Arsenal are reportedly interested in landing the diminutive forward when the transfer window opens.
