Liverpool have been boosted in their pursuit of Napoli midfielder Jorginho, according to UOL.
The Reds’ ambition to sign the Italian international has been well documented for the last couple of weeks and it seems they are making good progress in their intention to recruit him.
It’s claimed by UOL that the Reds have made a formal approach for Jorginho, with the player set to decide on his future at the end of the season.

However, if the report is to be believed, Napoli are not willing to hang around and wait for their Brazilian-born midfielder to make his mind up over his future at the Stadio San Paolo.
According to UOL, Maurizio Sarri’s side are looking to sign Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria as they begin to make contingency plans for Jorginho’s apparent departure this summer.
Torreira has been superb for Sampdoria in the last two seasons and it seems he will be selected to replace Jorginho at Napoli, acting as a big boost for Liverpool’s hopes of signing the 26-year-old.
