Liverpool have provided a positive update on Naby Keita’s back injury after the midfielder was sent to the hospital as he was in severe pain.
The Guinean was stretchered off after just 19 minutes of Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Napoli and he was in so much pain that Liverpool’s doctors decided that he needed to be assessed at a local hospital.
However, it seems like that was just a precautionary measure as Liverpool have said the 23-year-old is ‘fine’ and he will fly home with the rest of the squad.

The Reds have not ruled Keita out of Sunday’ big Premier League clash with Manchester City at this time, but they’ll wait until closer to the time to make a final decision.
Keita suffered a back injury in pre-season that forced him to miss a few friendly games so Liverpool will monitor this latest injury closely and will take all necessary precautions.
