Amid interest from Liverpool, Timo Wener’s teammates believe the German should remain at RB Leipzig.
Goal’s Ronan Murphy reports that Yussuf Poulsen, who plays alongside Werner at the German club, has expressed how he feels about their partnership up front, despite the ongoing rumours about interest from the Premier League leaders and Bayern Munich.
Werner’s contract comes to an end in 2020 and he has reportedly informed the club he doesn’t want it to be renewed, meaning an exit for the star is looking likely.

Between the two, Poulsen and Werner have scored a staggering 29 goals this season, a deadly strike force that has all-but helped RB Leipzig to a Champions League finish.
If I could persuade him, I would do it. Timo and I, that’s a great partnership, and of course I wish he stays here. But it is his decision and his career.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old and are looking to increase the depth of their squad, with other links to German winger Julian Brandt and Ajax star David Neres.
Klopp will be looking to build to the future with the signing of these young talents, while also attempting to keep the current front trio of Mane, Firmino, and Salah on their toes.
