Paris Saint-Germain are set to rest both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar over the weekend, giving them the best opportunity to feature against Liverpool.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures, as reported by Get French Football News, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the two players will miss the game against Toulouse tomorrow.
We will not take any risks with Neymar & Kylian Mbappé tomorrow, they will not be present. Their return is possible for Liverpool.
Both players had been considered doubts for the game in Paris on Wednesday after suffering respective injuries over the international break.
The Ligue 1 giants have since confirmed both players have undergone medical checks and neither will be risked over the weekend.
The game on Wednesday night will be key in both side’s hopes of progressing into the next round, with the Reds sitting a single point ahead of the PSG in the group as things stand.
With Napoli due to face Red Star, they could also open up a gap at the top, depending on Liverpool’s result.
