Former Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan could be about to play a huge role in helping the Reds land Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.
Reports from TEAMtalk, who cite the Sunday Express, claim that the Liverpool boss is hoping to utilise Klavan’s links to Anfield in a bid to see off competition from Italy for the midfielder.
Barella is valued at around £35 million by the Serie A outfit and is very highly thought of in Italy.

Both Milan clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on his development at Cagliari, while he has also earned admirers in the Premier League as well.
Klavan left Liverpool for the Italian outfit late in the summer transfer window when it became clear that game time was going to be hard to come by.
Liverpool may have only pocketed £2 million for the defender, but he could be about to save them a lot of money in the transfer market.
