Real Madrid ‘strongly interested’ in signing Mohamed Salah, says journalist

Real Madrid are ‘strongly interested’ in signing Mohamed Salah next summer, according to journalist Angelo Mangiante on Twitter.

The Egyptian has again been one of Liverpool standouts performers this season, scoring 16 goals in 23 appearances.

Salah has been linked with a summer exit to Madrid before and those rumours don’t seem to be going away.

Mangiante claims that the La Liga giants view him as a primary transfer target for the end of the season.

Losing Salah would be an almighty blow for Liverpool, with the 28-year-old undoubtedly one of the most relentless attacking players in world football.

Since joining the Reds from Roma in the summer of 2017, he has netted a remarkable 110 times in 175 appearances, as well as notching 41 assists.

Only an eye-watering fee would surely be able to prise Salah away from Liverpool, but if he wants to move, Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to stop him, as was the case with Phillipe Coutinho.

There is a lingering feeling that the Reds’ No.11 remains criminally underrated by some – he will only be truly appreciated when he leaves.
