Catalan newspaper Sport understands that Liverpool are favourites to sign Barcelona winger Pedro.
Premier League champions Chelsea have enquired about the player but it’s the Reds who are supposedly most likely to secure the winger’s services.
Brendan Rodgers is looking for a replacement for Raheem Sterling after he completed his £49million move to Manchester City earlier in the week.
The 27-year-old has had limited game time at Camp Nou since the arrival of former Reds star Luis Suarez and despite recently signing a new contract until 2019, he could leave.
The Spaniard has spent his entire career in the Barcelona ranks and in that time has picked up over 50 international caps including playing in two World Cups and a European Championship.
A move to either Anfield or Stamford Bridge would likely result in a pay rise and first team football.
Pedro has a €30m release clause in his contract and any potential suitors would need to meet that valuation, however according to Sport any deal would be unlikely until after the Catalan giants’ presidential elections.
