Liverpool have emerged as ‘front row’ contenders for towering Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic according to a report from Fiorentina News.
The report states that the 6’5 Serbian has also attracted the attention of rivals Manchester United and Manchester City as a summer transfer battle could ensue.
Milenkovic is contracted to the Serie A club until 2022 and this summer could present the last opportunity for the Florence based side to obtain close to the £25.2m market value for their star.
Capped 26 times by his nation, Milenkovic, 23, has a wealth of experience amongst the elite having played 107 Serie A games already.
Unsurprisingly, the giant central defender has won 85 per cent of his aerial duels whilst also possessing a threat from set-pieces and last seasons five league goals were part of 14 during his fledgeling career.
Prior to the 2018 World Cup, former Serbia coach Mladen Krstajic compared Milenkovic to five times Premier League winning defender Nemanja Vidic when the Fiorentina ace went to the tournament as a 20-year-old.

Liverpool signed Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies in January as defensive reinforcements but the Reds could foreseeably head back into the transfer market at the end of the season.
Having spent next to nothing in strengthening the defence on deadline day, Jurgen Klopp will be looking to bolster his options yet further.
It remains to be seen whether Davies can make the step up as the former Preston man awaits his debut, whilst Kabak’s six-month loan deal could see him return to Schalke should the Turkish international fail to suitably impress.
