Jurgen Klopp’s side successfully beat Tottenham Hotspurs 2-0 in the Champions League final in Madrid on Saturday night and as reported by STV, one certain player has been very highly praised by his international team-mates.
Andrew Robertson’s Scotland team-mates have nothing but praise for the 25-year-old left-back after winning the Champions League. Armstrong spoke out on behalf of the Scotland team about Robertson’s greatest achievement at Liverpool:
It’s an unbelievable achievement. He’s just gone from strength to strength.
Armstrong stated that Robertson is a key player for both the Liverpool squad and the Scotland squad as he called him an ‘important individual’, continuing his praise:
He’s such an important individual and good guy, we’re all so delighted for him. It’s something he should be so incredibly proud of because we all are.
Robertson’s success seems to have also rubbed off on the rest of his team-mates in Scotland. They are preparing themselves for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Belgium.
While they await Robertson’s return from Spain the rest of the squad are getting ready and are feeling good for their next two matches with Robertson with them.
It’s great to have that accolade in amongst the squad and have that quality available.

Armstrong went on to say:
There’s a positive feeling and we are very much looking forward to he next couple of games.
