Both of the players have been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month after a fine February for Liverpool, which saw the club move up to 3rd in the Premier League.

Four other Premier League stars have been nominated; Manchester United’s Chris Smalling, Eden Hazard at Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross and the Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland despite his own goal last weekend against Leicester City.

The winner is announced on the 5th March.
