As reported by Sky Sports, Xherdan Shaqiri, who has been linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer transfer window, has confirmed that he is in no rush to leave Liverpool.
Despite not being brought on in the final of the Champions League in Madrid, the Switzerland international wants to stay with the club.
I’m at Liverpool FC, the best club in Europe. I have a long-term contract and I definitely will stay.
The winger hasn’t been a part of the starting 11 as much as he would have liked following a move from Stoke City last summer.

He made 24 appearances all season and played a key role against Barcelona in the semi-final of the Champions League, which saw Liverpool win 4-0.
Shaqiri revealed that he knew before he started at Anfield that the competition to play would be tough, but then went on to praise manager Jurgen Klopp, claiming he understands that he has decisions to make about who can play.
The manager has many good options and has to decide who can play. I knew before my transfer that the competition here is very tough.
Shaqiri appears adamant he will be staying with the Reds for as long as his contract lasts as he wants to be a part of ‘the best club in Europe.’
