Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful that Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba will be fit for Manchester United’s crucial Premier League clash with Liverpool.
English football’s biggest rivals lock horns at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, in what could be a huge day in the title race.
United could be top of the table by the time the game kicks off, with a draw or win at Burnley on Tuesday night taking them to the summit.
Speaking to the Guardian, Solskjaer revealed he believes Lindelof, Shaw and Pogba will be fit, despite them all battling respective injuries:
I hope for Liverpool, definitely. But I’m not sure if they’ll make the Burnley one, it’s light training [Sunday] then we’ll see on Monday.

Sunday’s game is one of the biggest Liverpool-United clashes in years, with both teams fighting for the title at the same time.
Strangely, this has very rarely been the case over the last few decades, with one invariably trying to prevent the other from winning the league, but having little chance of lifting the trophy themselves. The 2008/09 season is a rarity, in that respect.
Shaw and Pogba look like guaranteed starters for United at Anfield, while Lindelof will tackle Eric Bailly for a centre-back berth alongside Harry Maguire.
Mohamed Salah’s battle with Shaw could be a key contest, with the Liverpool man attempting to keep the left-back pinned in his own half, rather than marauding forward on the counter-attack.
