Kolo Toure has today spoken about Mario Balotelli and admited he’s in the middle of a tough period at the club.
In a recent interview with Swedish paper Aftonbladet, he discussed the Italian and his season so far.
Toure said: “Balotelli is a world-class player but of course it has been a tough period for him…“
“I try to help him by talking to him, everyone knows he is a good player. Strikers need to score goals and when they don’t their confidence is affected. But as I said he is world class.”
Balotelli has struggled this season at Liverpool, with just 2 goals so far, neither of which have come in the Premier League.
Kolo also mentioned the Reds’ recent form, which has seen them record a current unbeaten record of 12 games:
“Everything is better now and I hope we can continue down that path. I think we have developed as a team [as the season has gone on].”
