Trent Alexander-Arnold has brilliantly mocked Jose Mourinho on Twitter, following Liverpool’s dramatic win over Tottenham.
The Reds sealed a last-gasp 2-1 victory at home to Spurs on Wednesday night, going three points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah’s opener was cancelled out by Son Heung-min’s strike, before Roberto Firmino headed home at the death.
After the game, Mourinho told Jurgen Klopp that the better team had lost, which seemed fairly bizarre, given Liverpool’s dominance.
Alexander-Arnold posted on Twitter after the final whistle, having a sly dig at the Portuguese in the process:
Best team won 😊 pic.twitter.com/5GTGhquOcj

Quite how Mourinho believes Spurs were the better team is unfathomable, with Liverpool dominant throughout.
Yes, the visitors missed a couple of great chances, but the Reds were more than worthy of their win.
It is most likely mind games from Mourinho, who is a famously bad loser and will be attempting to rile Klopp.
The Liverpool boss won’t be bothered one bit by his comments, though, and will no doubt be amused by what Alexander-Arnold had to say on the matter.
