Valencia set to sign Liverpool target Geoffrey Kondogbia

Spanish club Valencia have made a move for Liverpool target Geoffrey Kondogbia from Inter Milan this summer, as reported by Football Italia.

Liverpool have been a long term admiror of the player but appear to have missed the boat with the Spanish high fliers getting in ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The player has been out on loan at Valencia this season and the club are now keen to buy him for an outright fee in the summer.

The Spanish club have the option to sign the player at the end of the loan deal for a fee of €25m. It was originally reported that they didn’t have the funds to complete a deal but that no longer needs to be the case and as such, they now look certain to take up the option.

Liverpool are in the market for a new midfielder but it looks like that man won’t be Kondogbia, with Italian Jorginho looking the most likely player to make a switch to Anfield.
