Liverpool are believed to hold ‘great interest’ in Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman this summer.
The Frenchman, currently part of the France Euro 2020 squad, is also on the radar of Manchester United should their pursuit of Jadon Sancho stall.
Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp is on the lookout for attacking additions in the transfer window to offer support and additional competition to Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota.
According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via beIN Sports) and as cited by LFC Transfer Room on Twitter, Liverpool have already fallen short with a bid.

The report claims the 25-year-old would be ‘open to a new challenge’ but is in no rush to force a move away from the Bundesliga giants.
Already a serial trophy winner in a relatively short career, the 31-cap star was once described as ‘solid gold’ by teammate Thomas Muller.
During another league title-winning campaign in 2020/21, the Frenchman made 39 appearances in all competing – scoring eight and assisting 15 goals.

Valued at £58.5million and under contract at the Allianz Arena in 2023 (Transfermarkt), the mooted £42million asking price would be somewhat of a bargain fee.
Predominantly a left-winger with capabilities of operating from the right, Coman would provide high-quality cover for both Mane and Salah.
Liverpool standing firm at their valuation could be in line with what is a checkered injury record, albeit rarely long layoffs in more recent times, the French ace has picked up regular issues.
