Liverpool are believed to have rekindled their interest in Watford winger Ismaila Sarr this summer.
The Reds were heavily linked with the 23-year-old following the Hornets’ relegation in 2020.
However, the Anfield club opted to sign Diogo Jota from Wolves as an alternative as Sarr helped fire Watford back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
According to a report from TransferMarketWeb, as cited by ThinkLFCTV on Twitter, Liverpool are now set to ‘revisit their interest’ in the Senegal star.

The report claims that Sarr has ‘asked for permission’ to leave and the Reds are ‘prepared’ to offer £40million for the 34 times capped Senegalese ace.
Previously, the winger has admitted compatriot and Liverpool star Sadio Mane is an ‘inspiration and idol’ in football.
Jurgen Klopp knows all too well the threat Sarr can pose after the weekend goalscorer against Aston Villa put the Reds to the sword at Vicarage Road.

Valued at £19.8million and under contract in London until 2024 (Transfermarkt), given the ace’s potential and proven ability at the top level, £40million would be a worthwhile expenditure.
Capable of covering across the frontline, Sarr is the ideal backup attacking option for the Anfield squad.
A player very much in the mould of Mane with dangerous dribbling and clinical finishing ability, a season working alongside the star would only further hone the winger’s skill set.
Whether or not this reported deal can become a reality remains to be seen and may hinge on Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri departing – but it is certainly one that would make an abundance of sense for Liverpool.
