Liverpool are believed to be seriously considering a move for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi this summer.
The 26-year-old is fresh off the back of starting three games for Italy during a successful Euro 2020 campaign for the nation and has come under intense interest.
Wanted by Leicester City, the Reds have also been linked with Berardi in recent weeks and could be about to step up their interest.
That’s according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Sport Witness on Twitter.

The report claims the Serie A club will be looking for a fee in the region of €40-45million (£34-38million) for the 17-cap star.
Berardi has enjoyed a superb rise to prominence in the last two seasons, scoring 31 and assisting 18 goals in 61 outings.

Signing an additional attacking option this summer has been earmarked as a priority for Jurgen Klopp.
Whilst the Italian ace would represent a high-quality addition, for the mooted valuations there could be better options.
Despite a hugely impressive goals contribution, Berardi offers little in the way of versatility having almost exclusively played off the right-wing for club and country.
That position is occupied by a certain Mohamed Salah and supplemented by Harvey Elliott and Xherdan Shaqiri, making an outlay unlikely this summer.
Valued at £31.5million and under contract until 2024 (Transfermarkt), it seems unlikely the Reds would be able to land a bargain deal.
