Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn is reportedly a target for Scottish Premiership side Hearts this summer.
The 21-year-old Welshman featured prominently for the Reds in pre-season and had been earmarked for a surprise role in Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the 2021/22 campaign.
However, despite being described as ‘out of this world’ by coaches in a detailed report from The Athletic, a departure could still be on the cards for the club’s youngest ever goalscorer.
That’s according to a report from Goal, as cited by Neil Jones on Twitter, claiming the Scottish club are keen on signing the Welshman.

The report states that clubs from Denmark and Croatia are also interested in Woodburn but it is Hearts who lead the race for the 10 times capped starlet.
Loan spells of mixed levels of success with Sheffield United, Oxford United and Blackpool have followed the record-breaking goal against Leeds United.
Despite ‘blowing away’ staff at Anfield with recent performances in training and in pre-season fixtures, Woodburn was an unused substitute as the Reds beat Norwich City 3-0 over the weekend.

Valued at £1.8million and in the final 12 months of a contract at Anfield (Transfermarkt), there is an element that any season-long loan move could spell the end of the Welsh ace on Merseyside.
Having come through the ranks to make 11 senior outings at the club, regardless of what happens in the future Woodburn will be regarded as another success story from the academy.
At 21 it’s time for the midfielder to break into regular first-team action, something that despite the plaudits is unlikely to be forthcoming with Liverpool this season.
Given the obvious quality and admiration from Klopp and co – perhaps it’s a surprise other clubs in England and the Scottish powerhouse aren’t also keen.
