Liverpool are reportedly the ‘main bidder’ to sign Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio.
The Reds have been extensively linked with the 26-year-old previously and this summer could be a crucial one for the Spanish international.

According to a fresh report from Sport, amidst interest from elsewhere, it’s Liverpool that lead the way in the pursuit.
The report claims that ‘important clubs’ want to sign the 26-cap Spain ace on the back of a title boldly stating ‘Asensio is for sale’.
This season Asensio has scored nine times and one assist in 28 appearances across all competitions – taking an overall tally to 69 direct goal contributions in 221 appearances.

Valued at £36million and in the final 18 months of a deal at the Bernabeu (Transfermarkt), it’s hardly surprising to see Liverpool seeking out a potential bargain.
Already boasting a packed trophy cabinet, Asensio certainly has the required pedigree to strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Capable of playing across the front three and with an eye for the spectacular, bringing the Spaniard to Anfield for the right price would be an excellent acquisition.
