According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool target Virgil van Dijk is still determined to move away from St. Mary’s this summer to move to Anfield.
Van Dijk has been linked with a move to Liverpool all summer after an amazing season by the Dutch defender in the same campaign where Liverpool had defensive frailties but has reportedly again made it clear to his current club he wants away.
He has been training alone over the past week as the rest of the Southampton squad have been out in their preseason training camp in France and the club are hoping that the defender will train with the rest of the squad when they return to the south coast.
Liverpool have already brought in a new defender this summer with the arrival of Andrew Robertson from Hull City for £8m.

However, according to the Daily Echo, Southampton are adamant that Van Dijk would not be sold this summer even though he does want to leave.
Van Dijk has five years left on his current deal, which the club hopes he will complete before leaving.
He joined Southampton from Celtic in 2015 for a fee worth £15m, meaning Southampton would make a monster profit if the defender does leave for the reported £60m fee.
