Following reports over the weekend in Le Parisien that Liverpool were interested in a €70m move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, there has been a mixture of excitement and skepticism as to whether the 28-year-old is a realistic target for Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool have secured the signing of striker Dominic Solanke from Chelsea – he will officially become a red on July 1st – and the capture of Roma winger Mohamed Salah should be completed this week according to the Liverpool Echo.
But with Champions League football on the horizon and Daniel Sturridge’s injury record still a concern, the Reds have been linked with several more attacking players throughout the close season.
It is still unclear whether Klopp will add another forward after Salah, but what is less unpredictable is Liverpool’s pursuit of a centre-back, a left-back and a central midfielder.
Once the record deal for Salah has been announced, the Reds should push on with the rest of their summer overhaul.
