Samed Yesil has sparked rumours of a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor after he posted a picture of himself in the Turkish city on social media.
The 21-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Trabzon on loan to regain full fitness and confidence.
Also, according to Turkish publicaton HaberTurk, the Reds are willing to let the player move on a short-term deal so he can gain first team experience.
However, his social media updates should be treated with caution as his parents originate from the area of Trabzon.
Yesil joined the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen in 2012 in a £1million move.
He made his debut in a League Cup match against West Bromwich Albion and featured again in the following round against Swansea City.
His progress has been halted by a series of unfortunate injuries including a horrific knee injury whilst playing for the Germany Under-19s.
However, he did recover in time for the run up to the conclusion of the Under-21s league last season and featured in a number of games for the development squad.
