17-year-old Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones penned his first professional contract with Liverpool on his 17th birthday. The Liverpool-born youngster has represented Liverpool since he was in the U9 team and England at U16 level.

The midfielder has impressed in Steven Gerrard’s team, having scored seven goals in his previous six games, and 10 in his 14 appearances this season proving himself to be a danger for the opposition.
Jones was named u-17’s England captain in their win over Russia in November and was placed in the Guardian’s next generation class of 2017.
Many people around the club brand Jones as the most talented in his age group and he was invited to train with the senior squad when he was only 15, and Gerrard admits that he is building his youth team around him.
It is rumoured that Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton were all interested in sealing a professional deal for Jones, but the local lad opted to stay at Liverpool.
