Reds sign teenager Allan

Brazilian youngster Allan Rodrigues de Souza has signed for Liverpool, the club have confirmed.

But the 18-year-old will not make an instant impact on Merseyside, as the Reds have agreed to send him on loan to Finnish outfit Seinajoen Jalkapallokerho until the turn of the new year.

Internacional allowed the midfielder to join up with the Liverpool squad earlier in the summer after he had impressed scouts at the Frenz International Cup esia and Kuala Lumpur, as per the Guardian.

Allan is one of several youngsters to join the ranks at Liverpool this summer, with the likes 16-year-old Bobby Adekanye joining from Barcelona and Nigerian youth international Taiwo Awoniyi also arriving.

He featured in three Under-21 games for the Reds during pre-season, and was part of the first-team squad for the penultimate first team friendly of the summer in Helsinki.

Allan will be encouraged by manager Brendan Rodgers’ faith in youth, as evidenced with Joe Gomez’s immediate rise to the senior side.
