Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is unsure what his future holds as he enters the final 18 months of his contract at Anfield, as per the Liverpool Echo.
The Welshman, signed by Brendan Rodgers from the Ulsterman’s former club Swansea City in 2012, has been a bit part player for the Reds this term.
Manager Jurgen Klopp handed the 25-year-old a rare start in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg tie at Stoke City on Tuesday night, and the midfielder delivered a terrific display which included an assist for Jordon Ibe’s winner.
But since initial talks took place at the end of last season, Allen has not had an offer of a new contract, which casts doubt over his future on Merseyside.

The next few months could be make or break for him, but he is eager to play more football.
When questioned about his contract situation, Allen told the Echo: “That is something which has gone very quiet.
I am not too sure really. I have made only one league start this season and I want to play more, I think that is obvious for any player in that situation.
“From my point of view it is about knuckling down, doing my job and giving my best, which I always do.”
