In a recent study, the BBC looked at the five most popular questions that had been entered into internet search engines, such as Google, in terms of Premier League clubs.
They compiled data from the start of the season looking at the things that internet users wanted to know about each club and compiled a top five ranking for all 20 sides.

4. Why is the Kop called the Kop at Liverpool?
Liverpool’s famous terrace was christened as the Spion Kop by Ernest Jones in memory of the many scousers who died in battle over a hill in South Africa by the same name during the Boer War.
