Liverpool’s summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri has been heavily warned of the reception he can expect to receive if he was to travel with the Reds when they face Red Star Belgrade in the group stage of the Champions League, according to Four-Four-Two
Shaqiri was signed from Stoke City in the summer following their relegation to the Championship, but he may be put off traveling to one of Liverpool’s away matches in the Champions League due to an incident which he was involved in the World Cup with Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka.
In the match he celebrated his winning goal in Switzerland’s 2-1 triumph over Serbia by imitating the two-headed eagle in Albania’s flag something which did not go down well.

Liverpool are set to travel to Red Star in the group stage and the clubs director expects Shaqiri to not travel for this match.
I think Shaqiri will undergo extraordinary psychological pressure.
He knows where he will be going. I know very well that our club is a symbol of Serbia, unlike Partizan Belgrade, who represent Yugoslavia more.
I do not know if he will be willing to play in Marakana [the nickname of Red Star’s Rajko Mitic Stadium] under these conditions, so I doubt he’ll come. If he comes, he’ll be smaller than a poppy seed.
