Liverpool scored a late equaliser to take a point away from Stamford Bridge in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
The Reds fell behind thanks to a goal from a familiar foe.
Eden Hazard scored his seventh career goal against Liverpool to cap off a really good move from Chelsea.
However, with time running out, Daniel Sturridge’s wonder goal earned the Reds a point.
Here’s how the Reds’ players rated:
Liverpool player ratings: Chelsea (A)
Alisson - 8
Made a big save to deny Willian when he was clean through. Might be a touch disappointed with goal as he only got fingertips to it. Did well to deny Hazard when he was one-on-one. Off his line quickly to sweep up a poor back pass from Wijnaldum
Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7
Played some really good forward balls and put in some excellent crosses. Caught out of position for Hazard’s opener although it looked like he expected Milner to be covering for him.
Joe Gomez - 7
Defended really well for the most part but had two moments where he fell asleep that could have cost the Reds. Needs to sharpen up a bit but he’s clearly Liverpool’s best option alongside Virgil van Dijk.
Virgil van Dijk - 9
He was excellent. Won headers, made blocks, made interceptions, everything. Absolute colossus.
Andrew Robertson - 6
Surprisingly got caught out by long balls to William a few times, which is unlike him. Looked shaper in the second half and put a pass on a plate for Shaqiri, who really should have scored.
Jordan Henderson - 6
Saw a fair bit of the ball and kept things ticking but just lacked that bit of ingenuity to get Liverpool really going.
James Milner - 6
Worked tirelessly but passing seemed a bit sloppier than usual.
Gini Wijnaldum - 7
Really worked hard to try and disrupt Chelsea then move forwards with the ball.
Mohamed Salah - 7
Got in behind a few times but couldn’t quite find the finish, although only a goal line clearance prevented him as he rounded the goalkeeper. Still doesn’t quite look at his best. Taken off after 65 minutes.
Sadio Mane - 7
Forced a very good save from Kepa in the second half. Like Salah, he too doesn’t seem at his best yet.
Roberto Firmino - 7
Had a header cleared off the line by Luiz and led the press as well as ever. A quieter night than you’d want from him.
(Sub) Xherdan Shaqiri - 5
Missed a great chance from close range as he looked to be a bit too precise. Had to score it really
(Sub) Naby Keita - 8
Wasn’t on for long but made a big impact. Got Liverpool on the front foot and made a vital defensive header late on to prevent David Luiz scoring.
(Sub) Daniel Sturridge - 10
WHAT. A. GOAL!
