Marseille sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has made Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno a top target to bolster their defensive options, according to L’Équipe, cited by GFFN.

The 26-year-old, who made the move to Anfield in 2014 from Sevilla, has only featured three times this season under Jurgen Klopp, with his appearances coming in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup.

And with Andy Robertson consistently performing at left-back, Moreno looks set to continue the season watching from the side.

However, with Jordan Amavi Marseille’s only recognised left-back, sporting director Zubizarreta has drawn up a list of potential options.

The Spaniard is thought to be top of that list, however, it is unclear as to whether or not the Ligue 1 side will make an offer for Moreno in the New Year.

Moreno, who has made over 140 appearances for the Reds in a four-year stay, is out of contract in the summer, so Marseille may wait until the summer to act on a potential deal.
