Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has been named as the PFA Player of the Month for November.

The Dutch international won the award ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, Huddersfield Town’s Aaron Mooy and Manchester City trio Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and David Silva.

Liverpool remained unbeaten in the Premier League during November, as they drew with Arsenal and defeated both Fulham and Watford.

Van Dijk has been in great form for Liverpool all season and it is no surprise to see him getting the accolades that his performances have deserved.

The defender also captained the Reds on Sunday as they defeated Everton 1-0, and it was his miss-hit volley which resulted in Jordan Pickford’s mistake, which led to Divock Origi’s 95th-minute winner.
