Mohamed Salah museum set to be established in Egypt
The Youth and Sports Ministry of Egypt are planning to establish a museum dedicated to Mohamed Salah, according to the Egypt Independent.
Part of the Mohamed Salah Sports Center in the player’s hometown of Nagrig will have a museum containing many of his belongings.
Included will be the ball that Salah scored with when Egypt beat Congo to reach the 2018 World Cup – a last-gasp penalty widely seen as the most important goal in the country’s history.
There will also be pictures of the many prizes the 26-year-old has already won during his time in the Premier League, as well as shirts worn for the teams he has represented.
It all goes to show what a footballing icon Salah has become since joining Liverpool, in particular.
He has a God-like presence back in Egypt and he is unquestionably one of Europe’s top players currently.
Salah showed that yet again on Tuesday night, scoring the only goal as Liverpool beat Napoli 1-0 to reach the Champions League knockout stages.
A hat-trick at Bournemouth prior to that was further proof that the Reds’ star man is back to his best.
