Liverpool have stepped up their preparation for the Champions League final with the squad now in Marbella.
The Reds have had a few days off to recover after their Premier League campaign ended with a 2-0 win over Wolves last weekend and now their focus turns to the huge game with Tottenham Hotspur on 1 June.
Jurgen Klopp and his men arrived in Marbella yesterday, and this morning, they completed their first session of the training camp.
Here are the five most noteworthy stories to come out of that session:
Bobby's working his way back
After missing Liverpool’s final three games of the season, Roberto Firmino is working hard to get himself fit for the final. He arrived in Marbella before his teammates to do some fitness work, and he took part in the first session alongside his teammates earlier today. There’s no guarantee that Firmino will be fully fit for the final, but the signs look positive.
No rest for Robbo
Andy Robertson picked up an injury during the first half of Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Barcelona and whilst he played against Wolves a few days later, he clearly wasn’t 100 per cent fit. However, it looks like the time off has done him good as he was able to take part in the whole session.
Adam Lallana returns
Adam Lallana hasn’t been in a Liverpool matchday 18 since the win over Tottenham in March and has been battling with various injuries which have kept him sidelined. However, he too was able to play a full part in the session, and if fit, he’ll be on the bench for the final.
No sign of Naby
Although Naby Keita has travelled with his teammates to Spain, he hasn’t been able to take part in training. Despite his international manager suggesting otherwise, he looks to be a major doubt for the final, and it’d be a surprise if he even trains at all before the game.
Moreno back ready for selection
Alberto Moreno is out of contract in the summer, and it looks certain that he’ll leave the club. He too has been battling injuries, but he took part in the whole session and with UEFA allowing the Reds to have a 12-man substitutes bench, he’ll be hoping to find a place on it for what will be his last game with Liverpool.
